Community Financial Credit Union donated $3,000 to support the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools middle school mentoring program, Where Everyone Belongs (WEB). In the WEB program, eighth grade students partner with sixth grade students to help them transition into middle school.
“Community Financial has been a part of this program since it’s inception six years ago. WEB is a valuable program to assist the sixth graders in their transition to middle school. In addition, the eighth grade students develop leadership skills and responsibility”, said Natalie McLaughlin, Community Financial Manager/Community Relations.
Eighth grade WEB leaders conduct lessons on team building, cooperation, and community effort. They also focus on strategies for academic success including: problem solving, goal setting, and other ways to smoothly transition to the middle school environment. WEB Leaders act as "go-to" people for sixth graders to count on throughout the school year.
Community Financial Credit Union is proud to support such a valuable program and looks forward to more years helping students build positive lifelong skills.
